Description:
There are tens of thousands of chemicals in our environment, as we are exposed to these chemicals through the food we eat, the water we drink and bathe in, the air we breathe, the household products we use, etc. Great Plains Laboratory has created a toxic non-metal chemical profile called the GPL-TOX that screens for 172 different toxic chemicals. This includes organophosphate pesticides, phthalates, benzene, xylene, vinyl chloride, pyrethroid insecticides, acrylamide, perchlorate, diphenyl phosphate, ethylene oxide, acrylonitrile, as well as Tiglylglycine, which is a marker for mitochondrial disorders.

A hair tissue mineral analysis performed by Analytical Research Labs, Inc., is a screening test for the level of 20 minerals and toxic metals in a sample of hair. Hair, like all other body tissues, contains minerals that are deposited as the hair grows. Although the hair is dead, the minerals remain as the hair continues to grow out.
