Testing For Environmental Toxins

Great Plains GPL TOX: $249

Description:

There are tens of thousands of chemicals in our environment, as we are exposed to these chemicals through the food we eat, the water we drink and bathe in, the air we breathe, the household products we use, etc.  Great Plains Laboratory has created a toxic non-metal chemical profile called the GPL-TOX that screens for 172 different toxic chemicals.  This includes organophosphate pesticides, phthalates, benzene, xylene, vinyl chloride, pyrethroid insecticides, acrylamide, perchlorate, diphenyl phosphate, ethylene oxide, acrylonitrile, as well as Tiglylglycine, which is a marker for mitochondrial disorders.

What Markers Are Tested?

  • Diethylphosphate (DEP)
  • 3-Phenoxybenzoic Acid (3PBA)
  • 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic Acid (2,4-D)
  • Tiglylglycine (TG)
  • N-Acetyl (Carbomethyl) Cysteine (NAE)
  • Diphenyl Phosphate
  • Perchlorate
  • N-Acetyl (3,4-Dihydroxybutyl) Cysteine (NABD)
  • 2-Methylhippuric Acid (2MHA)
  • 3-Methylhippuric Acid (3MHA)
  • 4-Methylhippuric Acid (4MHA)
  • N-Acetyl Phenyl Cysteine (NAP)
  • Phenylglyoxylic Acid (PGO)
  • 2-Hydroxyisobutyric Acid (2HIB)
  • Monoethyl Phthalate (MEP)
  • Dimethylphosphate (DMP)
  • N-Acetyl (2,Hydroxypropl) Cysteine (NAHP)
  • N-Acetyl (Propyl) Cysteine (NAPR)
  • 2-Hydroxyethyl Mercapturic Acid (HEMA)

Results Turn-Around Time:

5 to 7 business days from time sample is received (may take longer based on weather, holidays, lab delays, etc.)

International orders.

There is a flat shipping and handling charge of $35 for all international orders.  The test kits are sent via USPS.  Although we’ve sent many test kits to Canada and overseas over the years, depending on what country you live in you might want to check with customs to make sure there isn’t a problem 1) receiving test kits, and 2) sending your samples back to the United States.

Return Policy:

Return policy for a refund is 90 days from the date of purchase. The kit must be returned unused and with all pieces (i.e. vials) before a full refund can be issued. Once you send in your sample to the lab there are no refunds allowed. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Cyrex Labs Chemical Immune Reactivity Screen (Array #11)

Cyrex Labs Chemical Immune Reactivity Screen (Array #11): $399

Note: Before ordering this test you should be aware that having depressed immunoglobulins can result in a false negative result.  Because of this you might want to consider having the following immunoglobulins tested through the blood at a local lab:

  • Immunoglobulin A
  • Immunoglobulin G
  • Immunoglobulin M

Description:

Unlike most tests that measure the levels of certain chemicals, the Cyrex Labs Array #11 is a blood test that measures the immune system response to some of the more common environmental toxins. This can be a very valuable test, as you can have low levels of heavy metals on other tests, yet have an immune system response to one or more of these.

Analytical Research Labs Hair Mineral Analysis

Analytical Research Labs Hair Mineral Analysis: $99

Description:

A hair tissue mineral analysis performed by Analytical Research Labs, Inc., is a screening test for the level of 20 minerals and toxic metals in a sample of hair. Hair, like all other body tissues, contains minerals that are deposited as the hair grows. Although the hair is dead, the minerals remain as the hair continues to grow out. A sample of hair cut close to the scalp provides information about the mineral activity in the hair that took place over the past three to four months, depending on the rate of hair growth.
