Great Plains Laboratories MycoTox: $299
Description:
Mycotoxins are metabolites produced by fungi like mold, and exposure usually takes place through certain foods (i.e. nuts, grains) or air due to water damage. Mold is common if the environment is warm and wet, and the release of mycotoxins can greatly affect those who are genetically susceptible. In fact, toxic mold is one of the main causes of chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS),
which usually results in many different symptoms, including the following:
- Severe fatigue
- Anxiety
- Insomnia
- Memory loss
- Lightheadedness
- Migraines
- Sensitivity to light
- Skin rashes
- Abdominal pain, bloating, and diarrhea
- Respiratory distress
- Sinus problems
- Joint pain
- Neurological symptoms
- Static shocks
The MycoTox profile from Great Plains Laboratory screens for eleven different mycotoxins in a single urine sample. This panel uses advanced mass spectometry (MS/MS) to detect these mycotoxins.
